It all started in the stands.
I'm Gary, I'm 11, and I've supported Charlton Athletic my whole life. I started bringing my camera to games and trying to get decent shots from my seat. Mostly just stuff that looked cool, I didn't really know what I was doing if I'm honest.
Then the Charlton Media Team saw my photos. My dad ended up emailing them and they invited me back to The Valley. Not as a fan this time though. As an actual Official Matchday Photographer for a real Championship game.
I had a press pass. I was pitch-side. I had a proper job to do. It was one of the best days of my life and I still think about it loads.
It proved to me that if you take something seriously and keep at it, stuff can actually happen. Even when you're 11.
Since then I've been pitch-side at Ashford Town FC too, including the day they got promoted. Everyone went mental. There was a massive celebration and people were crying and everything. That's the sort of moment I want to capture with my camera. The real stuff.
I shoot match days, team photos and youth football around South West London and a bit further out. If you want me to cover your club or an event, get in touch with my dad David through the About page.
